Who is this article for?

This article will be useful to you if are a partner on PartnerStack looking to update your personal account settings, including email address, account name, etc.

Changing your account email

If you sign in to your account using your email and a password, you can change your email by following the steps below.

Note: if you sign in with Google you will first need to remove the Google-authentication from your account.

  1. Log into your PartnerStack account 
  2. Click on your initial in the top right-hand corner of your dashboard
  3. Under the "My Account" section select "Settings" from the drop-down list that appears
  4. Enter your desired email address in the "Email" field
  5. Click "Save"

Once complete, you'll see this message:

"Check your Email. Follow the link in the email we sent to {{your email address}} to confirm your email address and help secure your account. If you did not receive the email, please check your spam folder before trying again."

PartnerStack then sends out two emails:

  • One to the old email address - to notify of the requested account email change.
  • One to the new email address - this email contains a link to verify the account email change.

Verify the account email change

To complete updating your PartnerStack account's email address, check your inbox for an email from hello@partnerstackmail.com, titled Account Update: Approve your email on PartnerStack. If you don't see it, check your spam/promotional folders. 

The email change verification link will expire after 3 hours. 

Click on the link in the email. Once you've clicked on it, you will be logged out of PartnerStack and landed on the login page. Log in with your new email address. 
Once you've done so, you should see the message "Your email has been successfully updated" at the top of the page!

Resend the "verify account" email 

If the Account Update: Approve your email on PartnerStack link has expired, you can send yourself a new one easily following these steps:

  1. Go to dash.partnerstack.com/handshake
  2. Enter the email address you were wanting to update the account email to
  3. You'll then get a message that says that your request has expired
  4. Click on "Resend email"
  5. Search your email for the new link. Make sure you check your promotional and spam folders. 

Changing a Google-authenticated email

If your account is Google-authenticated (you sign in by clicking "Sign in with Google") you will need to first remove the Google-authentication from your account and create a password before updating your email address.

To remove Google-authentication:

  1. Log into your PartnerStack account 
  2. Click on your initial in the top right-hand corner of your dashboard
  3. Under the "My Account" section select "Settings" from the drop-down list that appears
  4. Under the "Email" field click "Remove Google authentication"
  5. Create and confirm a password by entering it twice

  6. Select the "Remove Google authentication from my account" check box
    1. This action cannot be undone
  7. Click "Save changes"
  8. You will be automatically logged out of your account. You can now login using your email and newly created password

Once you have removed the Google-authentication from your account you will be able to update your email following these steps.

Updating profile information

To update your name, social media information, or address, click on your name in the top right-hand corner of your account, and select Settings from the list. Update or enter the desired information and click "Save".

screencast_2021-10-27_11-29-35.gif If you operate as a business or agency, you can utilize the first & last name fields to include your company name. You can then update your business phone number, main contact email (which will receive all correspondence from programs, alerts for payouts, and be a general point of contact), as well as your business social accounts and location.

Setting your preferred currency

If you would prefer to withdraw your rewards in a currency other than USD you can update this in your account settings. Available currency options are: USD, GBP, CAD, EUR, AUD, and NZD.

Changing your account currency in-app eliminates the need to manually convert currencies displayed in-app.

To change your preferred currency:

  1. Log into your PartnerStack account 
  2. Click on your initial in the top right-hand corner of your dashboard
  3. Under the "My Account" section select "Settings" from the drop-down list that appears
  4. Scroll down to the "Preferred currency" section
  5. Select your preferred currency and click "Save"

When you update your preferred currency:

  • The app will refresh upon your changes being saved
  • All financial values will update with their respective exchange rates
    • If your preferred currency is not USD, an exchange rate will be calculated and added to your payout in the "Rewards & Withdrawals" tab. This value will fluctuate every 24 hours based on the exchange rate.
  • We recommend withdrawing via direct deposit to a bank in the country of your selected currency to minimize processing fees

Where will my preferred currency be displayed?

When you have updated your preferred currency in your settings this will update the display of your transactions and rewards on your Home page, program Summary and Performance tabs, and in your Rewards & Withdrawals tab.

In your Rewards & Withdrawals tab, individual rewards and transactions will display the original amount in USD, and also the converted amount in your preferred currency.

The Available Funds total will display converted to your preferred currency. This value will fluctuate based on the conversion rate for the day. 

Your Reporting tab can be filtered to display in your preferred currency. 

Leads and Deals, if enabled by the company your partner with, will not display in your preferred currency.
