SubID Overview
SubIDs are static alphanumeric strings you can add to the end of your links allowing for advanced affiliate tracking. Using subIDs you can understand various performance metrics to optimize your promotions.
You can add one or multiple subIDs to any PartnerStack link. Each subID will be captured at the time of click and attributed to earned commissions after a conversion.
Once a commission has been generated, you will be able to view in your PartnerStack dashboard which subID was used.
SubIDs may not work for all companies you are partnered with. Please reach out to Support@PartnerStack.com if you have further questions.
Adding subIDs to links
SubIDs can be added to both your default link or your custom link if the company you partner with has custom links enabled.
- Log in to your PartnerStack account and navigate to your Links tab
- Copy your PartnerStack referral link
- For example, companyName.grsm.io/PartnerABC
- Paste your link into an external text document (word, sheets, notes)
- Append ?sid=(your_sid_here) to the end of your link
- Adding the subID 123 would be written as ?sid=123
- You can add multiple subIDs to a link following this format:
- link.com/PartnerKey?sid1=123&sid2=ABC&sid3=456 ... etc
- Share your full link, including the subID you have added
- Example full link: companyName.grsm.io/PartnerABC?sid=123
SubIDs must be added to your links externally to PartnerStack. If custom links are enabled for your program please ensure you are not adding the subID text in your custom link text.
Reviewing subID performance
In the Reporting tab's Detailed Commissions Breakdown chart, the "SubID" column will display a subID if the commission was generated after following a link with a subID.
To view subID reporting:
- Login to PartnerStack
- Navigate to your Reporting tab in the top menu bar
- Click on the heading "Commissions" at the top of the page
- Scroll down to view your "Detailed Commissions Breakdown" chart
- Your subIDs will appear in the subID column
You can also download this data at any time.
Viewing subID data in your Performance tab
If the company you partner with is integrated with us in a way that supports detailed link tracking, you will see additional menu options under your Performance tab.

Postbacks
PartnerStack now supports postbacks. Postbacks are notifications to an external service when events occur in the PartnerStack platform, such as commission creation. Postbacks are specific to Partners.
