Using PartnerStack's Content Marketplace

Overview

PartnerStack's Content Marketplace lets you discover and request content from partners directly through PartnerStack - then pay them all through your standard invoicing flow. Browse partner properties — websites, YouTube channels, Instagram/ LinkedIn accounts, and more — view their available offers, and submit requests for the content you want, all without leaving PartnerStack.

This guide covers:

Step 1: Browse the Marketplace

To get started:

  1. Navigate to Content Marketplace in your dashboard.
  2. Browse partner properties, or use the filters to narrow your results.

Available filters:

  • Industry focus
  • Audience type (SMB, Mid-Market, Enterprise)
  • Partner location / location focus
  • Existing partner (yes/no)
  • Price range
  • Property type
  • Content offer type

Click into any partner property to view the specific content offers they've listed.

Step 2: Submit a Content Request

When you find an offer you'd like to purchase:

  1. Click Request on the offer.
  2. Include an initial message to the partner explaining your needs.
    1. If you have a detailed brief written in an external document, you can link to it directly for the partner to view.
    2. Have a specific link on which you'd like to request content? No problem! Add that in as well!
  3. Once you hit submit, the partner will receive both a message on PartnerStack and an email to their inbox letting them know about the request.
  4. Message back and forth with the partner to align on expectations before they accept.
  5. Once a partner accepts your requests, a commission will be created for the agreed upon amount in a Hold status.
    1. This commission will stay in Hold until you either manually move it (in the case you'd like to pay the partner early, or provide the payment as a deposit) or you accept a partner's submitted content - in which case the commission will move from Hold to Approved, and it will be placed onto your next invoice.

Note: You can message any partner through Content Marketplace — you don't need an existing partnership with them.

Step 3: Manage Your Requests

View all your active and closed requests from the My Requests tab.

Request workflow:

  1. The partner accepts your request and begins work.
  2. The partner submits their completed content for your review.
  3. Review the submission and click Approve if it meets your requirements.
    1. If you'd like the partner to make some changes, no sweat! You can easily request changes and send it back to the partner for their review.
  4. Payment to the partner is processed automatically through PartnerStack.

Step 4: Paying Partners for Completed Content Requests

PartnerStack handles partner payments automatically:

  • When the partner accepts your request, a commission is created in a Hold state.
  • When you approve their content submission, the commission moves to Approved and will be placed onto the next generated invoice.
  • If you'd like to pay the partner early (as a result of negotiation, or as a deposit), you can of course manually move the commission from a Hold status to Approved.

Please note that all commission payments generated through the Content Marketplace will be subject to the PartnerStack payout fees outlined in your contract.
