Partner activity reporting

This article will be useful if you manage a partner referral program on PartnerStack and need quick access to actionable data to evaluate partner engagement and program activation. This report aims to answer critical questions about program performance and partner contributions.

Partner activity overview 

The Partner activity reporting feature allows you to easily view how many partners are joining the program monthly, quarterly, or yearly. This includes how many partners are driving key metrics such as clicks, signups, paid customers, leads, and deals. 

Click on your "Performance" tab in your left-hand menu to get started and navigate to “Partner activity”

Partner activity data

The Partner activity feature allows you to generate insightful reports on your partners’ activation and engagement. You can analyze data such as new partners, total partners, partners w/clicks, signups, paid customers, and commissions, so on.

Partner activity data columns:

  • Measure date: The timeframe when events occurred
  • New partners: The number of partners who joined the program during the reporting period
  • Total partners: The total number of active & inactive partners in the program as of the reporting period
  • Total partners change: The net increase or decrease in total partners compared to the previous period
  • % Total partners change: The percentage change in total partners compared to the previous period
  • Partners with clicks: The number of partners who generated at least one click during the reporting period
  • % Partners with clicks: The percentage of total partners who generated at least one click
  • Total clicks: The total number of clicks generated by all partners
  • Partners with signups: The number of partners who drove at least one signup
  • % Partners with signups: The percentage of total partners who drove at least one signup
  • Total signups: The total number of signups driven by partners
  • Partners with paid customers: The number of partners who referred at least one paid customer
  • % Partners with paid customers: The percentage of total partners who referred at least one paid customer
  • Total paid customers: The total number of paid customers referred by partners
  • Partners with commissions: The number of partners who earned commissions during the reporting period
  • % Partners with commissions: The percentage of total partners who earned commissions
  • Total commissions: The total amount of commissions earned by partners
  • Total commissions count: The total number of commission transactions recorded
  • Total leads: The total number of leads referred by partners
  • Total deals: The total number of deals closed by partners
  • Group: The name of the group to which the partner belongs

Grouping partner activity data

Partner activity data can be grouped into the following categories:

  • Group by Measure Date (Month, Quarter, Year): to analyze trends over varying periods
  • Group by Group to gain insights into cohorts

Two levels of grouping can be applied at a time. 

Filtering partner activity Data

The filtering option enables you to refine your partner activity report data by:

  • Date range
  • Group
  • Tags
  • Partner
  • Status (Active = Active partners: Inactive = Archived partners)
  • Source (Marketplace, External)
  • Manager

Multiple filters can be applied simultaneously, and multiple groups can be selected to segment your data for deeper analysis and insights. Click "Clear" to remove an applied filter.

Exporting partner activity data

Your data can be exported for further analysis. 

To export your data:

  1. In your Partner activity report apply any desired filters and groupings
  2. Click the three stacked dots and “Export” from the drop-down menu
  3. Optional: Choose "Export with expanded rows" to include all data, including ones that are not currently in view
  4. Click "Export now"
    1. Save the report if you would like to schedule it for future or recurring delivery
  5. You will receive an email within 30 minutes with a download link
  6. Click "Download CSV" in the email and ensure you are logged in to your PartnerStack account to complete the export

Exporting partner activity drill-down data

Drill-down exports allow you to analyze detailed partner activity data beyond what is visible in the report. However, drill-down reports cannot be saved or scheduled for future or recurring delivery.

To export your drill-down data:

  1. In your Partner activity report apply any desired filters and groupings
  2. Hover over a stat and click to open the drill-down modal
  3. Click the “Export data” button in the modal
  4. You will receive an email within 30 minutes with a download link
  5. Click "Download CSV" in the email and ensure you are logged in to your PartnerStack account to complete the export

Troubleshooting data

If you encounter any issues while using the Performance Reporting feature, check the following:

  • Ensure your filters and groupings are correctly applied
  • Refresh the page if data is not loading properly
  • Contact our support team if you need further assistance or encounter persistent issues
