Viewing available funds and projected earnings

Pending commissions and estimated payout dates

When you earn a commission, you'll notice that it'll first appear under the "Commissions" section of your Commissions tab, with a status of "Pending approval", with an estimated payment date.

Commissions are held in your account as "Pending approval" until the company you are partnered with has reviewed them.

Commissions are typically paid out on the 13th of each month, however, some companies may have customer payout schedules. You can contact the company you partner with directly using your "Messages" tab if you have questions about their payment schedule.

Please keep in mind that unexpected delays in processing could result in your commissions coming after the 13th.

Once your commissions have been approved and paid for by companies, your funds will be available for cash out on the Commissions page.

You must have at least $5 USD in commissions in order to withdraw. If the amount is under $5 USD after fees, your status will appear as "Pending approval" until you earn more commissions.

Commission payment schedule

  • From the 1st to the final day of the month, you earn and accrue commissions. These are initially marked as "Pending approval" in your Commissions tab
  • On the final day of the month, we send the list of all pending commissions to the companies you partner with. They then have time to review the list and approve or decline each commission as needed.
  • Approved commissions are available for withdrawal around the 13th of the following month.
  • You can view the estimated available date for your withdrawal in your Commissions tab.
    • Please note: This date is only an estimate. Unexpected delays can result in commissions being available after their estimated date.
    • If your commissions are not available for withdrawal on their estimated available date, contact the company you partner with for more information.

Example:
March 1 to March 30 - Commissions are calculated and sent to companies for review (your commissions will appear under Pending Commissions).
April 1 to 7 - Company has a chance to review commissions and make any changes.
April 13 - Funds are available to withdraw from your Commissions tab.

Note: Some companies may pay out their commissions earlier (between the 8th and 13th of the month) depending on their method of payment and the date their invoice is charged.

Commission statuses

As the companies you partner with review commissions, your commission may be marked as any of the following statuses:

  • Pending Approval: The commission has not yet been approved by the program. Commissions are typically approved within a month after the commission creation date, but this will vary between programs.
  • On hold: The commission has been placed on hold for further validation. Contact the program for the estimated availability date and the reason for being on hold.
  • Declined: The commission has been declined by the company you partner with. If no reason has been provided, contact the company for more information.
  • Approved & pending payment: The commission has been approved by the program but not yet paid for. Most programs pay partner commissions within a month after the commission creation date, but this will vary between programs.
  • Funds Available: The commission has been paid by the program and it is available for you to withdraw.
  • Withdrawn: The commission has been withdrawn via your selected payment provider. Congrats!
  • Scheduled: The commission is set to be paid on a future date as specified by the program. This applies to commissions released over time, according to a set schedule. The estimated available date is not provided for scheduled commissions.

Note: Programs may schedule commissions to be paid out in increments over a set time period, or after a delay to account for customer trial and/or cancellation periods. If you have any questions about a company's offer structure, you can contact the company directly using your Messages tab.

Why are my commissions on hold?

Commissions may be manually put on hold by the company you partner with or put on hold automatically if there is potential fraudulent activity. In both cases, the company will review its internal records and commission details to determine if it should be approved or declined.

If the company you partner with determines your commissions should be paid out, the approved commissions will be available to withdraw in the following payment cycle

How do I withdraw my commissions?

Once your commissions are available for withdrawal, you will receive an email notification from PartnerStack.

You can withdraw commissions with an "available" status following these steps:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Select Commissions in the top menu bar.
  3. Confirm that your connected payout provider (Stripe, PayPal or direct deposit) is accurate.
  4. Click Withdraw funds.

Important: Commissions are paid out via PayPalStripe, or direct deposit. Before withdrawing funds, make sure you have the correct payment provider linked in your Commissions tab.

For more information on connecting or switching your payment provider, see the Adding a payment provider support guide.

My commissions aren't available to withdraw

Commissions are only available once reviewed and paid for by companies. There can be unexpected delays in payouts that could result in your commissions coming after the 13th. Your commissions may not be available to withdraw if:

  1. The company is still reviewing the past month's commissions
  2. The company's commission invoice charge is pending
  3. Your commissions have been reviewed and paid for but are below the $5 payout minimum

If there is a delay happening with a specific company's payout, they may alert you by email. You can contact the company directly using your Messages tab for an update on the payouts.

The withdraw button is not available

The withdraw button may not be available if your commissions are not yet available to withdraw, or if you are a member or admin of a partner team. Your team Owner or team Finance member can withdraw team commissions.

For more information on partner teams, see the Managing a partner team support guide.

Can I withdraw the available funds in smaller amounts?

All available commissions must be withdrawn in a single transaction. Partial withdrawals or splitting the commission amount into smaller, separate payouts are not supported at this time.

What are commission late fees?

Commissions that have not been claimed (withdrawn) within 2 years will be charged a late (Admin) fee. The late fee of 8.33% is charged monthly on unclaimed commissions. Late fees will be charged until you withdraw your commissions or until the commissions have been unclaimed for 3 years. After 3 years, the commission value will be $0 (original commission value - late fees applied).

To avoid commission late fees, please ensure you are withdrawing your commissions before they reach 2 years of age.

For more information on commission late fees, see PartnerStack's Terms of Service.

Who approves and declines commissions?

The company that runs the program is 100% responsible for approving or declining commissions. There are a few reasons why they may decline a commission (i.e. refunded customer purchase, challenge submission did not meet criteria, etc) and these reasons may be unique to each company.

For more information on a declined commission, contact the company you partner with directly using your Messages tab. PartnerStack support will not have insight on why a company has declined a particular commission.

PartnerStack powers the automation of commissions being paid to the partners in a program and has no say or sway in the approval process.

If the company you are partnered with is an e-commerce store, please note that your commission will not show up in your account until the company has marked your referrals order as fulfilled on their end. Once they have marked the order as fulfilled (typically, your customer will receive a shipping email) you will then see the activity populate on your partner dashboard, and the commissions will then be generated.

Why haven't I received my withdrawal?

Your withdrawal processing time depends on the payment provider you have added.

Payment provider withdrawal delivery time:

  • PayPal: Delivery within 6-10 business days
    • Note: PayPal payments are sent to your PayPal account on file after a 5-day processing period after which they will appear in your PayPal account in 1-7 business days.
  • Stripe: Delivery within 2-5 business days
  • Direct deposit: Delivery within 2-5 business days, can vary based on bank account country and processing times

PayPal withdrawals

If you are withdrawing your commissions using PayPal, commissions are sent to your PayPal account on file after a 5-day processing period.

When you have clicked "Withdraw" the 5-day processing period will start. Your withdrawal will appear in your Withdrawals tab with the status of "Sent". Once your withdrawal has been processed and sent successfully it will update to show "Deposited".

Note, once you have clicked "Withdraw" your "Available Commissions" display will reset to "0" as you have initiated the withdrawal for all your available commissions.
